We were all saddened to hear that traditional music legend, J C Talty has sadly passed away. J C was one of the few remaining musicians spanning the generations from those halcyon days back in the fifties and sixties with bands such as the Laichtín Naofa, the Tulla and Kilfenora to the present time. He was one of the founder members of Comhaltas in Clare and a stalwart supporter of the movement down through the years. Funeral arrangements are as follows: * Removal on Thursday night at 7.30pm from Friel’s Funeral Home, Ballard Road, Miltown Malbay * Funeral on Friday after 11am mass at Star of the Sea Church, Quilty.
