Comhaltas at Portlaoise branch engages a team of specialist tutors each highly qualified in their respective field, to provide specific training - string, wind, reed, percussion and voice are catered for.
All age groups from beginner to highly accomplished attend weekly classes on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Monthly sessions during the longer nights and seven week programme of Seisiún during June, July and August to entertain friends & visitors.
Special workshops and intercultural projects take place regularly at week-ends.
While enjoying participation in friendly and professionally run activities, high standards are achieved. External accreditation is available, if desired, through formal examinations
