WELCOME TO THE HOMEPAGE OF COMHALTAS GARRAÍ EOIN
Welcome to the home page of CCÉ Garraí, Limerick City’s only branch of Comhaltas. Our branch is a new one, founded in March 2009, thanks to help from a dormant funds grant provided by the Dept. of Education to Scoil Eoin Naofa to be used to extend the use of the school to the wider community. In the past two years our numbers have grown and we now have just over 100 members of the branch, with an enthuasiastic committee at the helm. Classes are held in Scoil Eoin Naofa on Tuesday nights during the school year only and all traditional Irish musical instruments are taught in group band classes. Our youngest students are six years old and our adult classes are particularly popular. In March we hope to celebrate the second anniversary of the foundation of our group by hosting an Irish Night in Scoil Eoin Naofa’s school hall. As usual, admission will be free and all are welcome to join us for an evening of music, song and dance. More details to follow. Hope to see you there!
