Target Area : The Oriel Centre Dundalk Gaol services the geographical region encompassing the counties of Cavan, Monaghan, Louth, Meath and Armagh.
The Centre provides facilities for teaching, rehearsal, archives, recording, performance / recitals and session playing. The establishment of this Centre in the North Eastern Meitheal Region, aims to support the work of Comhaltas branches within the region, whilst being fully available to any individual/s or group interested in progressing Irish traditional culture. Its location in Dundalk Gaol also makes it a destination for those with particular interest in Irish history. The Oriel Centre at Dundalk Gaol combines the role of a cultural resource centre, a visitor attraction, a social and a performance space
