Munster Plearacha Finals

The Munster Finals of Plearacha na nOg were held on Sunday, April 29th in Cappamore, Co. Limerick Plearacha is a 30 minute show incorporating music, song, dance and storytelling and can feature up to 40 performers on a team. Three groups from the Munster contested the final – East Clare (Clare) Craobh na Coradh (Clare) and Fermoy (Cork) It was a highly enjoyable evening’s entertainment and credit is due to the branches who made the effort to enter Plearacha and also to the teachers and producers who put the shows together Results were: Place | Group —–|—— 1st | Craobh na Coradh 2nd | Fermoy 3rd | East Clare Though there had to be a winner on the day, all three groups will go forward to contest the All-Ireland Final at Fleadh Nua in Ennis on Saturday 26th May at 12pm in the Holy Family Hall Comhairle na Mumhan recently purchased a new trophy for the All-Ireland Plearacha Champions and this new trophy was presented to current All-Ireland Champions Fermoy CCÉ.
