ComhaltasLive #199-6: Tunes from America
The Comhaltas North American Annual Convention takes place in Atlanta, Georgia from 12th to 15th April 2007. At the 2004 Convention held in Parsippany, New Jersey, ComhaltasLive recorded some great music, including this selection of jigs played by Joannie Madden on concert flute, Brian Conway on fiddle, Billy McComisky on button accordion and Felix Dolan on piano — all from New York.
The jigs are “The Trip to Sligo”, “The Tar Road to Sligo”, and “The Rabbit in the Field”, which was composed by Billy McComisky.
