ComhaltasLive #222-3: Awbeg Céilí Band
The Awbeg Céilí Band from Cappamore/Murroe CCÉ took 3rd place in the competition and included these two 3-part jigs in their selections. The second jig is “The New House”, composed in the 1960s by Paddy O’Brien. Paddy actually composed the tune in the key of ‘C’ and note in particular his very tasty use of the Bb note in the fist bar of the second part.
