This week we present excerpts from the Tutors’ Concert at Scoil Éigse, held at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Tullamore in August 2008. We feature the playing of Finbar McGreevy (flute), Fiona Doherty (fiddle), Cian Kearns (flute), Jarlath Brennan (banjo), John Burke (fiddle) and Carmel Burke (button accordion), Dean Warner (piano accordion), Noel Kilkenny (banjo), Paula McMahon (fiddle), Josephine Nugent (fiddle), Mickey Smith (uilleann pipes), Niall Keegan (flute), Gary Lynch (fiddle) and Peter Staunton (button accordion).

They play a set of reels: “Morning Star”, “Love at the Endings” composed by Ed Reavy, which is this week’s tutorial, and then “Morning Star” in a different key. |
