This week we bring you the fine playing of Jimmy Keane and Seán Cleland from Chicago, Dylan Foley, Rose Flanagan and Donal Clancy from New York, Aisling Mc Phillips from Fermanagh, Dean Warner of Armagh, Sligo player Deirdre Hurley and the Bridge Céilí Band.

00:00 Chicago, USA musicians Jimmy Keane (piano accordion) and Seán Cleland (fiddle) play a selection of reels: “Johnny Doherty’s March”, “Mother’s Delight”, “The Mountain Road” and “Mc Fadden’s Handsome Daughter”. This recording was made at the North American Comhaltas Convention held in Parsippany, New Jersey in March 2008.
05:21 A selection of jigs: “The Killimor” and “Pat McKenna’s” played by New York fiddle players Dylan Foley (presently the All-Ireland U-18 champion) and Rose Flanagan, with guitar accompaniment by Donal Clancy. They go on to play two reels: “Spike Island Lassies” and “Tom Moylan’s”.
10:14 Flute player Aisling McPhillips from Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh plays a set of reels: “Josie McDermott’s” and “Fred Finn’s”.
13:07 Piano accordion player Dean Warner from Lurgan, Co. Armagh plays a set of jigs. Dean is originally from Leeds, England.
15:04 Recorded in the Comhaltas Regional Resource Centre in Gurteen, Sligo in 2004, here is Deirdre Hurley from Ballymote, Co. Sligo playing “The Mystery Reel” on tin whistle. Deirdre won the All-Ireland U-12 title in 2003.
17:20 A set of jigs played by the Bridge Céilí Band at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2004 in Clonmel.
