| 18:45 | Uileann Piper Éanna Ó Cróinín, Rath Chairn, Co. Meath plays a selection of jigs - “Gallagher’s Jig” and “Fasten the Leggin”. The first jig is a very old piping version of “The Frieze Breeches”, which Séamus Ennis collected from Pádraig O’Keeffe. It is particularly suited to the ornamentation of the war pipes. The recording was made on the 3rd of November, 2010. Éanna is a member of the group “Carraig”. |
