From Galway, Seán Gavin, All-Ireland Button Accordion Champion for 1971 played this selection of reels - a Paddy Fahy version of “Never was Piping so Gay” (composed by Ed Reavy, and “Lillies in the Field” recorded by the Flannagan brothers in the early 1900s - at the Comhaltas 60th Anniversary Concert in Tullamore on the 29th of April 2011. Guitar accompaniment is by John O’Connor.
