ComhaltasLive #371-3: Mairéad Corridan

All-Ireland champion concertina player Mairéad Corridan from Templeglantine CCÉ in West Limerick plays two reels - “Hughie’s Cap” (by Ed Reavy) and “The Maids of Mitchelstown”. Mairéad learned her early music at National School in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick under the Comhaltas Schools Outreach scheme (CSO), which was being piloted and developed by Willie Larkin. The scheme has now been launched and is available to schools all over the country. Interested schools, as well as potential teachers, should contact www.schoolsoutreach.ie.
