00:00 Four members of Ballincollig Seisúin Group, Co. Cork play a selection of reels recorded on the 7th of August 2012. Musicians are Martin Power on piano accordion, Brian McGillacuddy on banjo, Caroline Uí Chathasaigh on fiddle and Eoin Verling on guitar. The first and third reels - “The Cross of Four Roads” and “The Arrival of Jack” respectively - were composed by Martin power and the second is a very old reel.
03:03 Recorded in the Kilkenny Tavern, South Wimbledon, London on the 18th of November 2012, accordion player John Bowl plays the three-part hornpipe, “The High Level”.
05:14 Recorded in Comhaltas headquarters - Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin - in Derry on 20th of October, a selection of jigs played by Paddy Kenny, Derry, on tin whistle, Katriona Meehan, Armagh, on Fiddle, and Mícheál Ferguson, Derry, on guitar.
09:18 All-Ireland Under-12 Fiddle Champion 2012, Senan Moran, Dysert, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, plays a reel: “Jenny’s Welcome to Charlie” in the Clasac Comhaltas Centre in Clontarf, Dublin on the 4th of October, 2012.
12:12 Fiddle player Matt Tighe from London and uilleann piper John Devine from St. Albans play two reels: “The Old Bush” and “The Bird in the Bush”. John is the Regional Development Officer for Comhaltas and the recording was made in the Hershell Arms in Slough on the 15th of December 2012.
15:11 Members of Ballincollig Seisúin Group recorded in August 2012 play a selection of jigs - Shane Keating (who subsequently won the All-Ireland Senior title 2012) plays uilleann pipes, Aisling Vaughan plays concertina and her sister Margaret plays fiddle.
18:01 Reel played by Caoimhe Kearns, Ballymote, Co. Sligo in the Senior Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2012.
18:56 A reel - “The Kerryman’s Daughter” played by two great-grandchildren of the famous Leo Rowsome - Tierna Rowsome on concertina and Mark Lysaght on uilleann pipes - both from CCÉ Craobh Naithí, Dublin and who took third place in the Under-12 Duets 2012 and each took 3rd place on their respective instruments.
20:58 Musicians from Ballincollig Seisúin Group 2012 play a selection of reels joined by dancers Aisling Vaughan and Laura Murphy.
