478.02 A guitar solo, featuring two reels, by Evin O’ Regan from Cahir, Co. Tipperary, who took 2nd place in Miscellaneous Instruments U-12 at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo.
478.03 The Mulcahy family of multi-instrumentalists, L/R Michelle, Louise and their father Mick, play a selection of jigs - “Anthony Frawley’s”, “When the cock crows it is day” and “An buachaill dreoite”, at a concert performance at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo.
478.04 At one of the many informal sessions at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo, Ciarán and Áine Fitzgerald from Co. Kildare, play three reels - “The windmill reel”, “The victory reel” and “Jimmy McGettrick’s”, with bodhrán accompaniment by Junior Davey. Ciarán took 1st place in both Concert-flute and Concertina 15-18 competitions at the Fleadh, and with Áine was part of the All-Ireland-winning 15-18 Trios. (See 478.01).
478.05 Taking 3rd place in Senior Trios competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo, Lauren O’ Neill, Mairead Mitchell and Maria Mitchell, An Lúb, Derry, play an Ed. Reavy hornpipe “The Lone bush”.
478.06 All-Ireland Senior Fiddle champion 2015, Aoife Cunningham, CCÉ, Kilnaleck, Crosskeys, Co. Cavan, plays a reel “Farewell to Erin” in the competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo.
478.07 Taking 1st place in Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo, Shandrum Céilí Band, CCÉ, Craobh Chronáin, Cork, play a March - “Jimmy Shand’s”. Band members are - Mairead Fitzgibbon, Mikie O’ Gorman and Eddie Kiely, fiddles; Brian O’ Loughlin and Timmy Collins, flutes; Alan Finn, accordion; Tadgh O’ Sullivan, concertina; Keith O’ Loughlin, banjo; Aileen O’ Callaghan, piano and Ger Naughton, drums.
478.08 A selection of reels - “The fox on the prowl” and “The traveller”, played by Leeds Céilí Band at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo. Band members are - Fiona Lloyd, Fraser Howitt, Karen Lacey-Roberts and Ian Pearson on fiddles; Michael Walsh and Rachel Howitt on flutes; Patrick Flannery on banjo; Michael Tennyson on piano and Tim Delaney on drums.
478.09 A reel, “Kiss the maid behind the barrel”, played in 15-18 Trios competition by Ciara Maguire, Niamh Howell and Matthew McAstocker, from CCÉ, Newcastle, Co. Down, at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo.
478.10 St. Roch’s Céilí Band, CCÉ, Irish Minstrels, Glasgow, Scotland, play a selection of jigs - “The mug of brown ale” and “The tongs by the fire” in Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo. Band members are - Róisín Anne Hughes, Eileen McArdle, Mairéad Canning and Louise Hunter on fiddles; Patricia McArdle and Joseph Armstrong on flutes; Kevin Murphy on accordion; Catriona McArdle on concertina; David Browne on piano and Danny Boyle on drums.
478.11 All-Ireland U-12 champion 2015 on Uileann Pipes, Cian Smyth from Ballymacarberry, Co. Waterford, plays a slip jig “Kitty come down to Limerick”. Recorded at the inaugural and very successful Cahir Trad Fest on 19th September 2015 in Cahir, Co. Tipperary.
478.12 Part of the selection performed by Burren Grúpa Cheoil, CCÉ, Corofin, Co. Clare when taking 1st place in 15-18 Grúpaí Ceoil competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo.
478.13 Performing in the Senior Trios competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo, Séamus Ó hAirtnéide, Gearóid Ó hAirtnéide and Áine Ní Shiocháin, CCE, Caisleán Uí Chonaill/Athán/B.I, Co. Limerick, play “Galway Bay hornpipe”.
478.14 Newcastle dancers from Co. Tipperary who took 1st place in Senior Ladies 8-hand Céilí Dance and 2nd place in Ladies Full Set at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo, performing the Cavan Reel Set at Cahir, Co. Tipperary inaugural Trad Fest 2015. The dancers are - Treasa McGrath, Caelann McGrath, Rosie McCarra, Chloe Henneberry, Catherine Ryan, Leah Condon, Cathy McGrath and Sinead Grant. Musicians are - Richie Delahunty (banjo), Donal Linehan (accordion), Sarah O’ Gorman (fiddle) and Áine Duffy (concertina).
478.15 In 15/18 Trios at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 in Sligo, Tiernan Courell, Colm Ó Tuathaigh and Brendan Martin, CCÉ, Fred Finn, Sligo, play “Charlie Lennon’s reel”.
