510.05 All-Ireland senior Uileann Pipes champion 2016, Fionn Morrison, CCÉ, Cr. Naithí, Dublin, plays a selection of Reels - “Castleisland reel” and “Miss Longford”. Recorded at Cultúrlann na hÉireann in Dublin on 9th January 2017.

510.06 The Herschel Arms CéilI Band, CCÉ, East London, plays a selection of Jigs - “The queen of Mayo” (C. Lennon) and “The coming of Spring” (P. O’ Brien) - in Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Band members are Sam Proctor, Angela Brooks and Laura O’ Grady on fiddles; Orlaith McAuliffe and Catherine O’ Grady on flutes; Steve Prosol on accordion; Brogan McAuliffe on concertina; Tim O’ Dowd on pipes; Colin Dongle on piano and Jack Boyle on drums.

510.07 Mairi Therese Deighan and Benedict Morris, CCÉ, Irish Minstrels, Glasgow and St. Patrick’s, Coatbridge, Glasgow, Scotland, play a Reel by Paddy O’ B rien in 15-18 Duets at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

510.08 In 15-18 Duets at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016, Molly Doherty and Colm McMahon from CCÉ, Tullycorbett, Co. Monaghan, play a Hornpipe - “Fly by night”.

510.09 Scoil Éigse tutors at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016, Mary and Josephine Nugent and Brian Stafford play a selection of Jigs - “Garret Barry’s” and “Whistle and I’ll come to you”, at the Scoil Éigse Tutors Concert.

510.10 The Abhainn Glas Céilí Band from CCÉ, Joe Callaghan, Meathas Troim, Co. Longford, play a March - “Brian O’ Kane’s” - in Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Members of the band are - Irene Guckian, Aishling O’ Reilly and Amanda Sweeney on fiddles; Noel Sweeney and Shane Ryan on flutes; Michael Lennon (accordion); Donna McCann (concertina); Owen Smith (banjo); Liz Ryan (piano) and Hughie Smith on drums.

510.11 A group of seven musicians from Dublin City University (DCU) play a selection of three Jigs - “Mrs Galvin’s”, The Killavil” and “Up Leitrim”. Recorded in DCU on 1st December 2016, the musicians are Caoimhe Mellon and Eabha Shortt on flutes, Áine Duffy on concertina, Aoibheann Doyle, Lorna Cushe and Niamh Taaffe on fiddles and Paul O’ Sullivan on piano.

510.12 All-Ireland 15-18 Button Accordion champion 2016, John McCann from CCÉ, Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh, plays “The High Level” hornpipe at the Jig of Life Concert (organised each year by Martin Donohue) in the Town Hall, Cavan on 27th August 2016. Guitar accompaniment is by Gerry McMahon.

510.13 Ceoltóirí Crosskeys Céilí Band from Loughbeg, Co. Antrim, play a selection of Reels - “The maids of Castlebar” and “The hare’s paw” in the Senior Céilí Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Members of the band are - Maria and Mairead Mitchell, Kate O’ Brien and Martin Agnew on fiddles; Seána Agnew and Leona Neeson on flutes; Lauren Hegarty and Eimhear Mulholland on accordions; Maeve Boylan on piano and John Agnew on drums.

510.14 Sisters Kate (on fiddle) and Marie (on flute) O’ Gorman play a selection of Reels - “Dinny O’ Brien’s and “The lads of Laois”. They are both members of the Crossfields Céilí Band, the All-Ireland 15-18 champions for 2015 and 2016. Recorded in their local Freemount Comhaltas Centre, Co. Cork, on 20th November 2016, their Tutor is Alan Finn.

510.15 All-Ireland U-12 Duet champions 2016, Ailish McCarthy on concertina and Sadhbh Nic Artáin on fiddle, play a Reel - “Dr Gilbert’s”. Recorded at a session in Cultúrlann na hÉireann (Comhaltas Headquarters) in Belgrave Square, Monkstown, Dublin, on 9th January 2017. An attentive listener is Muireann Ní Mhaoildeirg (with her harp) who together with Ailish and Sadhbh took 2nd place in U-12 Trios at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016. They are members of CCÉ, Seán Treacy branch, Dublin and will be featured in an upcoming programme.
