516.01 A four-part Reel “Kenny’s favourite” played by Laurence Nugent, originally from Co. Fermanagh and residing in Chicago, USA, for many years. Recorded at the North American Comhaltas Convention, 20th to 24th April 2017 in Hilton Hotel, Chicago.

516.02 A group of musicians and dancers from Dublin City University (DCU) with a selection of Reels - “Tom Ward’s downfall” and “The boys of Malin”. The dancers are Shauna Maguire from Cavan, Michelle Doherty from Donegal, Kevin O’ Leary from Wexford and Jordan McCormick from Mayo. The musicians are - Back Row L/R Mark Swain, Pádraig Clancy, Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín and Hannah Rhattigan; Front Row L/R Sam Ó Ceallaigh, Nicole Martin, Niamh Molloy, Ruth Dolan, Grace Doolan, Niamh Leahy, Maeve Mulligan and Paul O’ Sullivan on piano. Recorded on 1st December 2016, with sincere thanks to Professor Daire Keogh, Deputy President DCU, and to well-known Composer Dr John Buckley, Music Lecturer in Dept. of Theology, Philosophy and Music at DCU, for their very kind invitation and for their help and courtesy.
Thanks also to Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín and Paul O’ Sullivan for organising the recording and for making it such an enjoyable occasion.

516.03 Dublin musicians who took 2nd place in U-12 Trios at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, L/R Muireann Ní Mhaoildeirg, Ailish McCarthy and Sadhbh Nic Artáin from CCÉ, Seán Treacy, Dublin. Collectively they are known as ‘SAM’ and they play a Jig “The cat’s meow” (Joannie Madden).

516.05 Hornpipe played by Róisín Anne Hughes, CCÉ, Irish Minstrels, Glasgow, Scotland, when taking 2nd place in Senior Fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

516.06 Two Jigs composed by the late Vincent Broderick - “The angler’s rock” and “The Wexford mayfly” - played by a large group of musicians during a special tribute to Vincent - ‘A flagstone of memories’ with Des and Larry Broderick - at the Pipers Club concert “Ceolchoirm Mór le Cheile”, at Cultúrlann na hÉireann in Dublin on 12th May 2017.

516.07 A selection of Scottish and Irish Reels played by six trad musicians ( all from overseas ) from University of Limerick on 2nd May 2017. The musicians are L/R Seán Kellegher (England), Sylvain Pourtier (France), Simon Pfisterer (Germany), Emrí Stenn (Florida, USA), Calum Read (England) and Jon Antonnson (Sweden). The Reels are “Ramnee Ceilidh” (Scottish), “Tommy Peoples’ reel” and “The road to Errogie” (Scottish). Recorded at The Hurler’s Pub in Limerick on 2nd May 2017.

516.08 Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín, CCÉ, Caisleán a’ Bharraigh, Co. Mayo, plays a jig in Senior Fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Éadaoin took 1st place in the Fiddle Slow Airs competition.

516.09 From CCÉ, Cora Finne, Co. Clare, Séan Doherty, Barry Heagney and Ross O’ Donovan, play a hornpipe in Senior Trios competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

516.10 In Senior Trios competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Ciara Maguire, Niamh Howell and Matthew McAstocker from CCÉ, Newcastle, Co. Down, play a Reel - “Kiss the maid behind the barrell’.

516.11 At the Pipers Club concert “Ceolchoirm Mór le Cheile” at Cultúrlann na hÉireann in Dublin on 12th May 2017, The Leo Rowsome Quartet - Kevin Rowsome, Mick O’ Brien, Leo Rickard and Nollaig Mac Cartaigh - play a selection of Jigs, “The Gallowglass” and “The maid at the cherry tree”.

516.12 Hornpipe played in Senior Trios at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, by Shannon Kelly, Katie Alexander and Jennifer Kelly from CCÉ, St. Louis Irish Arts, St. Louis, MO, USA.

516.13 Taking 3rd place in Senior Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016, Maire De Barra and Caoimhín De Búrca from CCÉ, Gort na mBó, Co. Mayo, play “Larry Redigan’s reel’.

516.14 All-Ireland 15-18 Duet champions 2016, Emma Corbett and Thomas Ahern, CCÉ, Ballyduff/B’vella/Ballysaggart, Co. Waterford, play a Hornpipe in the competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

516.15 Taking 2nd place at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Knocknashee Céilí Band, CCÉ, Paddy Killoran, Sligo, play a March in the competition. Band members are - Darragh Healy, Laura Beagon and John McEvilly on fiddles; Ide McKenna and Cian Kearins on flutes; Daithi Gormley and Declan Payne on accordions; Theresa O’ Grady, banjo; Kevin Brehony, piano and Michael Sheridan on drums.
