519.01 The Templemichael Céilí Band from CCÉ, Anne Devlin, Wicklow, play a selection of Jigs commencing with “ The frost is all over” at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Band members are - Tanya Murphy, Rory Healy, Catriona O’ Brien and Elaine Gleeson on fiddles; Gerry O’ Donnell and Pat Fitzpatrick on flutes; John Bass, accordion; Theresa Shalloe on concertina, Pat Bass, piano and Ollie Murphy on drums.

519.02 Recorded at the Nenagh Castlefest, Summer Festival Concert on 30th June 2017 in the Arts Centre, Nenagh, a selection of Reels played by John McEvilly (Mayo) and Laura Beagan (Monaghan) on fiddles, DaithI Gormley (Sligo) on accordion and Marie Walsh (Galway) on piano. The reels are “Fergal O’ Gara”, “Silver spire” and “Miss McDonald”.

519.03 Scoil Éigse Tutors at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016, Seána Agnew, Anne Marie Bell and Rebecca McCarthy Kent play a selection of Jigs - “Lost and found”, “Slieve Russell” and “Liam O’ Connor’s”.

519.04 Dublin fiddle player Seán Montgomery plays two reels composed by Seán Ryan - “Reel of Rio” and “Bill McEvoy’s”. ( Bill’s photo is shown at the start of the second reel }. Recorded at Comhaltas headquarters, Cultúrlann na hÉireann, Monkstown, Dublin on 20th March 2017.

519.05 In Senior Céilí Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Tigh na Coille Céilí Band, CCÉ, Craobh na Coradh, Co. Clare, play a Barndance “Batt Henry’s”. Band members are Sarah O’ Gorman, Denis Liddy and Dónal Ó Críodán on fiddles; Marian Curtin and Eamonn Cotter on flutes; Derek Hickey, accordion; Frances Cunningham, concertina; Liam Flanagan, banjo; Elvie Miller, piano and Séan Griffin on drums.

519.06 Recorded on 20th November 2016, members of Freemount Comhaltas branch in Co. Cork play a selection of Reels - “The Duke of Leinster”, “Tear the calico” and “Connemara stockings”. The group includes many members of Crossfields Céili Band - All-Ireland 15-18 Champions for 2015 and 2016, as well as their tutor Alan Finn who is leader of Shandrum Céili Band, All-Ireland Senior champions also for 2015 and 2016. Both bands are members of Freemount Comhaltas branch.

The reels are “Lad O’ Byrne’s” and “Phyllis’s birthday” (J. Marsh).

519.08 In Senior button accordion competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, CaoimhIn de Búrca from CCÉ, Gort na mBó, Co. Mayo plays a reel.

519.09 A selection of Reels ending with “The Four Courts”, played by a group of approximately 20 musicians from many parts of North America and Ireland at one of the many sessions at the Comhaltas North America Convention in Chicago, USA, in April 2017.

519.10 The Abhainn Glas Céilí Band from CCÉ, Joe Callaghan, Meathas Troim, Co. Longford, play Jigs “Kilglass Lakes’ and “A visit to Ireland”, in Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Members of the band are - Irene Guckian, Aishling O’ Reilly and Amanda Sweeney on fiddles; Noel Sweeney and Shane Ryan on flutes; Michael Lennon (accordion); Donna McCann (concertina); Owen Smith (banjo); Liz Ryan (piano) and Hughie Smith on drums.

519.11 Rachael Hughes and Mary Duggan, CCÉ, Lacka, Co. Galway, play a Jig “Petticoat Loose” in 12-15 Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

519.12 Aidan Kelly and Oisín Seaney from CCE, Clogher Valley, Co. Tyrone, play “Tommy Peoples’ jig” in 12-15 Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

519.13 A reel played by Cian O’ Sullivan and Sean Kelligher, CCÉ, Killarney, Co. Kerry, in 15-18 Duets at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

519.14 Young traditional group ‘Cavan Bucks’, joined by Martin Donohoe on accordion and Kavan Donohoe on guitar play “Jack Keyes’s Reel” (composed by Martin), at the annual Nyah Concert in Cavan on 27th August 2016 when they launched their new CD ‘Cavan Bucks’. Members of the group are Barry Conaty on flute, Zoran Donohoe on concertina and Ellen Grant on accordion. Incidentally, the next Concert will be held on Friday 11th August 2017 in Farnham Arms Hotel in Cavan.

519.15 In Senior Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Maria and Maireád Mitchell, CCÉ, Loup, Derry, play a Reel “The girl that broke my heart”.
