541.01 At a session recorded in The Half-Door Pub and Resturant in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary on 5th June 2018, All-Ireland U-18 button accordion champion 2017 Keelan McGrath and fiddle player Blaithín Kennedy from Ballycommon CCÉ, play a Hornpipe and a Reel - “The plane of the plank” and “The Caucus”, respectively. The occasion was to promote the Nenagh Castlefest which takes place from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July 2018 and will feature many well-known traditional musicians from around Ireland. They will be performing in many venues around the town over the weekend, commencing with the Friday night Concert in the Nenagh Arts Centre. The session was organised by well known local musicians Liz and Brendan Quinn from Ormond CCÉ, who do so much work in teaching and promoting traditional music in the area.

541.02 From CCÉ, Gort na mBó, Co. Mayo, Máire de Barra and Caoimhín de Búrca play a Barndance in Senior Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

541.03 A group of 5 young musicians from the Nenagh area, recorded in The Half-Door Pub and Resturant in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary on 5th June 2018, play a Jig - “The maid at the spinning wheel”. They are L/R Ellen Kennedy, Eabha Gaughan Quinn, Laoise Kennedy, John Kennedy and Ellen O’ Dwyer on keyboard.

541.04 Tieing for 2nd place in Senior Céilí Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare, the Blackwater Céilí Band from CCÉ, Clogher Valley, Co. Tyrone, play a Hornpipe - “P.J. Moloney’s” (S. Ryan). Band members are - Rosie Ferguson, Ursula McAdam, Eugene McKenna and Lydia Warnock on fiddles; James McCaffrey and Michael Coney (flutes), Ryan Hackett (piano accordion); Michael Curran (button accordion); Rachael Masterson (piano) and George McAdam on drums. The band is one of the many major attractions featuring on the Gig Rig at the Tyrone County Fleadh Cheoil 2018 being held in Dungannon on the weekend 22nd to 24th June 2018.

541.05 Recorded at the North American Comhaltas Convention 2018 in The Hilton Hotel in Chicago, USA, from 5th to 8th April 2018, Patrick Cannady on pipes and Karen Cannady on fiddle play a selection of Jigs - “The banks of Lough Gowna” and “Páidín Ó Rafferty”.

541.06 All-Ireland U-18 Button Accordion champion 2017 Keelan McGrath from Ballycommon CCÉ, Nenagh Co. Tipperary, switches to the brand new Brandoni accordion to play a selection of Reels - “The rolling hills of Brosna” (M. Mulcahy) and “Mayor Harrison’s fedora”. Recorded at a session in The Half-Door Pub and Resturant in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary on 5th June 2018 to promote Nenagh Castlefest which takes place from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July 2018, and will feature many well-known traditional musicians from around Ireland. They will be performing in many venues around the town over the weekend commencing with the Friday night Concert in the Nenagh Arts Centre.

541.07 The Lackagh Céilí band from Co. Galway play a Jig in 15-18 Céilí Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

541.08 Eleven years old twins Harry and Mairéad O’ Brien, from Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, on fiddles play a Jig - “The sparkling sea”. Recorded in The Half-Door Pub and Resturant in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary on 5th June 2018 at the promotion of the Nenagh Castlefest which takes place from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July 2018 and features many outstanding traditional musicians from all around Ireland.

541.09 From Glasgow, Scotland, St. James the Great Céilí Band play a Hornpipe - “The first attempt hornpipe” - in Senior Céilí Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Band members are ; Benedict Morris, Katie Sheridan, Joseph Sheridan and Michael Burns on fiddles; Mhairi Sheridan and Tiernan Courell on flutes; Monica Sheridan and Daniel Doherty on accordions; Kathleen Ewinson on piano and Rory Stark on drums.

541.10 From Coleman-O’ Grady CCÉ, USA, Seagda Coyle plays a hornpipe in Senior Button Accordion competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

541.11 From Tramore Comhaltas in Waterford, Rebecca McCarthy-Kent plays a Reel - “The foxhunter’s” - in Senior Fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

541.12 In Senior Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Benedict Morris and Tiernan Courell, CCÉ, St. Patrick’s, Coatbridge, Scottish Region, Britain and CCÉ, Fred Finn, Sligo, play a Jig - “Young Tom Ennis”.

541.13 In 15-18 Fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Róisín Nic an Bhreitheamh, CCÉ, Gort na mBó, Mayo, plays a Hornpipe - “Lad O’ Byrne’s”.

541.14 Beartla Ó Flatharta Céilí Band from Co. Kildare, play a March - “The March of ’81” (P. O’ Brien), in Senior Céilí Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Band members are - Finola Lawlor, Ruth Boylan, Gary Lynch and Fergal O’ Neill on fiddles; Elaine Clarke and Cein Sweeney on flutes; Róisín Ní Fhlatharta on accordion; Gearóid Keane on concertina; Declan Magee on piano and Úna Ní Fhlatharta on drums.
