545.01 After taking 1st place in 15-18 Trios in Tyrone Fleadh Cheoil 2018, Maeve O’ Donnell (pipes), Anna O’ Donnell (fid) and Meadhbh Sweeney (flute) from CCÉ, Dungannon, play a multi-part Jig - “Helvic Head”.

545.02 At one of several Céilís at the North American Comhaltas Convention in Chicago in April 2018, the music is provided by Rose Flanagan, Frankie Kennedy ( newly elected Chairman of CCÉ, North America ), Patti Furlong, Margie Mulvihill, John Reynolds and Kieran Flanagan.

545.03 The Blackwater Céilí Band, runners-up at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017, entertain the crowds at the Gig-Rig at Tyrone Fleadh Cheoil 2018 in Dungannon, with a selection of Reels ending with “Come west along the road”.

545.04 A session in Fawls bar during Munster Fleadh Cheoil in Ennis, Co. Clare on 22nd July 2018. Musicians in the session include Séamus and Anthony McMahon, Anita Broderick, Mick Butler and Mícheal Ó hAllmhain. They play a selection of Reels commencing with “The maids of Mount Cisco”.

545.05 A selection of Reels ending with “The new mown meadow” played by a group of musicians at a street session in Dungannon at the Tyrone County Fleadh Cheoil in July 2018.

545.06 Musicians from Ireland and USA play a selection of Reels commencing with “The shoemaker’s daughter” (Ed. Reavy) at the opening concert at Nenagh Castlefest 2018. They are L/R Michael McCabe (Dublin), Eithne Ní Dhonaile (Clare), John Weir (Clare), Yvonne and Liz Kane (Galway), Marie Walsh (Galway), Maura Walsh (Kerry), Sean Earnest (USA) and Kevin Brehony (Sligo).

545.07 A street session at Nenagh Castlefest 2018 with musicians Ian Pearson (UK) on fiddle, Michael McCabe (Dublin) flute, John Weir (Clare) fiddle and Eithne Ní Dhonaile (Clare) on harp. They play a selection of Reels commencing with “Tommy Coen’s”.

545.08 After taking 1st place in 15-18 Uileann Pipes competition at Tyrone Fleadh 2018 Peter McKenna, CCÉ, Clogher Valley, plays two single Reels - “The watchmaker” and “Cut the sod”.

545.09 This session in Clarke’s Pub in Drogheda, Co. Louth on 17th July 2018 sets the scene for Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann 12-19 August 2018. Musicians are Gráinne Casey on guitar, Ciara and Orla Brannigan on whistle and flute (all from Drogheda), Catriona McArdle on concertina (from Glasgow), Daithí Kearney and Adele Cummins on banjo and piano accordion (both from Ardee). The play a selection of Jigs - “Strike the gay harp” and “Out on the ocean”.

545.10 At a session in her native Drogheda (Clarke’s pub) on 17th July 2018, Ciara Brannigan on Whistle plays a Hornpipe followed by a Jig - “Midnight hornpipe” and “Dublin jig”.
