Louth. Charlie is from the Mike Rafferty-Joe Madden Comhaltas Branch. 561.03 All-Ireland 15-18 Banjo Champion for 2018, Colm Lawlor from Thurles, Co. Tipperary, plays a Hornpipe - “Fly by night” - which he learned from the playing of Gavin Strappe. Recorded at the Comóradh Pat Swan Week-end 2018 in Brú Ború, Cashel, Co.Tipperary. Enjoying the music are Colm’s dad Tony and also Donncha Ó Cinnéide who is one of the organisers of the festival and who does extraordinary work on an ongoing basis in promoting our cultural heritage, particularly through his programmes on Tipp. Mid West Radio. Louth. Band members are - Fiddles: Tomoya Aoki,Taro Nagata and Emiri Gondo; Flutes: Kozo Toyota and Sayaka Saito; Accordion: Honami Kimura; Concertina: Maki Yoshida; Banjo: Shota Saito; Piano: Takashi Fujihara and on Drums Genya Ishizaki. 561.06 Taking 2nd place in 15-18 Trios at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018, Ellen, Maeve and David Scott, CCÉ, Camross, Co. Laois, play a Reel - “The red bee” (J. Liddy). 561.07 Beartla Ó Flatharta Céilí Band from Kildare, play a selection of Reels - “The sally gardens” and “Tear the calico” - in Senior Céilí Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. Band members are - Fiddles : Ruth Boylan, Finóla Lawlor, Seán Ó Catháin and Fergal O’ Neill; Flutes: Ciarán Mac Gearailt and Elaine Clarke; Accordion: Roisín Ní Fhlatharta; Concertina: Gearóid Ó Catháin; Piano: Declan Magee and on Drums Úna Ní Fhlatharta. 561.08 From IL, USA, Rosemary O’ Malley plays a Jig - “Knocknagow” in Senior Fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. Rosemary is from Irish Musicians Association, IL. 561.09 Kate and Meadhbh Ní Shé and Mary Coffey, CCÉ, Niall Ó Cathasaigh, Ballincollig, Cork, play a Jig - “Return to Burton Road” - in 15-18 Trios Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 561.10 Robert Harvey from Mountrath, Co. Laois, plays a Barndance - “The primrose” - on concert flute. Robert holds 7 All-Ireland under-age titles including Concert Flute, Tin Whistle, Lilting and Whistling and he teaches the music. Recorded in Comhaltas headquarters in Cultúrlann na hÉireann,Monkstown, Dublin on 11th February 2019. 561.11 From CCÉ, Fintona, Co. Tyrone, Katie Ann McGoldrick, Oisín Seaney and Seán Bogan play a Jig - “McGann’s” - in 15-18 Trios competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018, in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 561.12 Donal McCague from Co. Monaghan plays a selection of Reels In the Fiddlers of Oriel Concert at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. The reels are - “Brian Rooney’s” and “Charlie Lennon’s”. 561.13 Taking 2nd place in Senior Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth, Emma Corbett and Thomas Ahern play a Jig. They are from CCÉ, Ballyduff/Ballinavella/Ballysaggart, Co. Waterford. 561.14 Cormac Mac Aodhagáin and Emmet Ó Tuathail, CCE, Cr. Bheartla Uí Fhlatharta, Kildare, play a Jig when taking 3rd place in Senior Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 561.15 Taking 3rd place in the Junior competition at the Ed. Reavy Traditional Music Festival 2018 in Cavan, Jamsie Wray from Casey, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal, plays a Reel - “ George Peoples’ ”.
