565.02 Recorded at North American Comhaltas Convention/Regional Fleadh Cheoil, 6th to 9th June 2019 in the Hilton Hotel, Parsippany, New Jersey, Brenda Dowling, Woodlawn, NY, Patrick Finley, Atlanta, GA, and Gráinne Buckley from West Limerick on Harp. They play Reels - ‘The bag of spuds” and “Tom Ward’s downfall”.

565.03 Musicians from many parts of Ireland and Overseas at a session in The Hibernian Bar & Resturant during Nenagh CastleFest, Co. Tipperary, 21-23 June 2019. Musicians include Aidan Shannon, Bríd Harper, Brian Horrigan, Ruth Morrissey, Mike McCabe, Conor Connolly, Kevin Brehony, Aoife Kinsella, Michael Tennyson, Noeleen Conneely, Freda Hatton and Keelan McGrath. They play a selection of Jigs commencing with “The gold ring” and “The humours of Ballingarry”.

565.04 Scoil Éigse Tutors at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018, Eileen Gannon and Eimear and Conor Arkins play a selection of Hornpipes commencing with “An Caisleán Óir”.

565.05 A group of eleven Musicians led by accordion players Ned Kelly and Keelan McGrath play three Reels - “Launching the boat”, “Flagstone of memories” and “Jim Donoghue’s”. Recorded at a session on 17th June 2019 in Lissenhall N.S. just outside Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, where music is taught by Ned and his colleagues. Sincere thanks to Ned and many family members and friends of the group for arranging the recording and for making it such an enjoyable occasion. The musicians in the group are Front row L/R Róisín and Ciara Connolly, Aaron Fitzgerald, Méabh Cahalan, Jack Connolly and Jack McGrath. 565.07 Taking 1st place in the Junior Fiddle Competition at Ed Reavy Trad Music Fest 2018 in Cavan, Ademar O’ Connor from Rinaghan, Edenderry, Co. Offaly, plays a Jig - “Paddy Hayes’ Jig”.

565.08 After taking 1st place in 15-18 Uileann Pipes competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018, Peter McKenna, CCÉ, Clogher Valley, Tyrone, plays Jigs commencing with “Pádraig O’ Keeffe’s” - in a street session at the Fleadh in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

565.09 All-Ireland U-12 Accompaniment champion 2018 Clodagh Cahalan on piano with her sister Meabh on concertina play a Jig - “Kathleen Collins’ jig”. They are members of Ballycommon CCÉ, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, recorded in Lissenhall N.S. on 17th June 2019, where weekly music classes are held by their teacher Ned Kelly and his colleagues.

565.10 The selection played by Ards CCÉ, Co. Down, in senior Grúpaí Ceoil competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

565.13 Winning the All-Ireland Senior Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth, Caoimhe Kearns from Paddy Killoran branch CCÉ, Sligo, plays a Hornpipe.

565.15 Two lovely Polkas composed by Martin Power, called “Coolyduff Polka” and “How many men are u now ?”. ( Note, from the intro, the challenge in getting the pronunciation right ! ). Martin, who has composed many tunes, was honoured with the Comhaltas “Ard Ollamh Award 2018” in recognition of his enormous contribution to Irish traditional music, and is joined here by Caroline Ní Chathasaigh and Shane Scanlon. All are members of CCÉ, Niall Ó Cathasaigh, Ballincollig, Cork.
