The Reels are - “The Blockers” (Séan Ryan), “Brian Rooney’s” and “The Letterkenny Blacksmith”. Members of the Group are - Musicians : Brogan McAuliffe, Blaithín Kennedy, Ciara Maguire, Daire Smith (also Singer), Fiona Kelleghan, Liam Orr, Lughaidh Fisher (also Singer), Micheál Fitzgibbon, Michaela Kennaghan (also Singer), Séamus Ó h Airtnéide, Síofra Hanley (also Singer), Thomas Palmer and Timmy Flaherty. Dancers : Ciara Horan (also Bean a’ Tí), Danielle Bowe, Eiméar Mulvey and Ray Shanahan. Tour Manager : Eddie Murphy. 573.02 Taking 1st place in Senior Fiddle Competition at the 2019 Ed. Reavy Annual Festival in Cavan, Sinéad McKenna, CCÉ, Clogher Valley, Co. Tyrone, plays an Ed. Reavy Reel - “The whistler from Rosslea”. 573.03 Taking 2nd place in 15-18 Duets Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Senan Shortell and Naoise Kettle, CCÉ, Seán Ryan/Camross, Laois, play a Jig - “Paddy Fahy’s”. 573.04 From Scotland, St. Roch’s Céilí Band play a March - “The hoof hearted March”, in Senior Céilí Bands Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 573.05 Fiddle player/Composer Shane Meehan plays 3 Reels from his new CD “ ’t will do “ at the Ed. Reavy Festival Concert 2019 in Cavan Crystal Hotel, Cavan. Piano accompaniment is by Kevin Brehony. A native of Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, Shane currently plays and teaches music in Cork, and has composed over 20 tunes, many of which have been featured on various recordings. 573.06 The Ards 15-18 Grúpa Ceoil from Co. Down, taking 3rd place at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 573.07 Roscommon banjo player Therése Hanley plays a selection of Reels commencing with “Martin Mulhaire’s”, at the Special Awards Concert honouring Liam Ó Cuinneagáin for his special contribution to traditional music and culture, at the Tionól Leo Rowsome weekend in Culturlann na hÉireann in September 2019. 573.08 From Clifden CCÉ, Galway, Meadhbh Ó Neill plays a Jig when taking 3rd place in 15-18 Button Accordion Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 573.09 Brogan McAuliffe (London), Blaithín Kennedy (Tipperary) and Micheál Fitzgibbon (Limerick), members of Macalla na hÉireann, the Comhaltas Concert Tour Group of Ireland 2019, play 3 Reels - “Forget me not”, “Sunny Banks” and “Wissahicken Drive” (Liz Carroll). Recorded pre-concert in Brú Ború, Cashel, on 18th October 2019. 573.10 USA musicians Billy McComiskey, Athena Tergis and Mick Moloney, play a selection of Reels at the Annual NYAH Festival Awards Concert in Farnham Arms Hotel, Cavan on 21st September 2019, organised by Martin Donohue. The Reels are “John Nolan’s” and “The Controversial reel” which was composed by Billy McComiskey. 573.11 Megan McGinley from CCÉ, Min na Croise, Donegal, plays a Jig in Senior Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 573.12 A group of 6 flute players from Fintona CCÉ, Tyrone, play Reels - “ A trip to Birmingham” (J. McDermott) and “John Brennan’s”. Recorded at the Annual Trad Festival in Fintona, Co. Tyrone in Ocfober 2019. The flute players are - L/R Ella McCarroll, Emer Devlin, Chloe Treanor, Aideen Donnelly, Áine McCaffrey and Róise Mae McBride. 573.13 The Strand Céilí Band from Co. Donegal, play a Hornpipe - “The good-natured man” - in Senior Céilí Bands Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 573.14 Banjo player Fiona Kelleghan, Ballynacargy CCÉ, Co. Westmeath, and Harpist Síofra Hanley, Paddy Killoran CCÉ, Sligo, play Reels - “Palmer’s gate” (J. Liddy) and “The Reel of Sceachóg’”. Recorded on 18th October 2019 in Brú Ború, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, before their Concert performance with Macalla na hÉireann, the Comhaltas Concert Tour Group of Ireland 2019. 573.15 Taking 2nd place in 15-18 Trios at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019, Róise Mae McBride and Aoife and Úna McGinley, CCÉ, Fintona, Co. Tyrone, play a Jig - “Kitty’s rambles”.
