Musicians include Joanna Clare, Michael Melanophy, Patrick Finley, Damien Connolly, Patti Furlong, Billy McComiskey, Kieran Flanagan. Louth. 588.04 Taking 2nd place in Senior Duets at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019, Thomas Ahern and Emma Corbett from CCÉ, Ballyduff/Ballinveela/Ballysaggart, Co. Waterford, play a Reel - “Lucy Campbell’s”. 588.05 Fergus Bogue, CCÉ, Dr Galligan, Cavan, plays a Jig in Senior Button Accordion competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 588.06 Cian Kilkenny from CCÉ, Caisleán a’ Bharraigh, Mayo, plays a Reel - “The Leitrim Lilter” (Joe Liddy) in 15-18 Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 588.07 At a session in Coburn’s Pub at the Leinster Fleadh 2019 in Athboy, Co. Meath, four musicians from Ráth Cairn, Co. Meath, play Reels ending with “The Baltimore salute” (Josie McDermott) The musicians are Deirdre Ní Dhonnchadha (concertina), Éamon Óg Ó Donnchadha (pipes), Diarmaid Ó Donnchadha (fiddle), and Éamon Ó Donnchadha (flute). 588.08 From London, Jack Boyle and Chris Maguire play a Hornpipe in Senior Duets Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 588.09 Blaithín Kennedy, CCÉ, Baile Uí Choimín, Co. Tipperary, plays a Jig in Senior Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 588.10 Recorded during a weekend of lovely music in Emmet Quinn’s house in Camlough, Co. Armagh, in November 2019, Emmet’s sons Gerard on fiddle and Paul on concertina join Emmet on fiddle for a selection of Reels - “Miss Monaghan’s”, “Sheahan’s” and “St. Anne’s”, enjoyed by several generations of the family ! 588.11 Taking 2nd place in 15-18 Button Accordion Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019, Aaron Glancy, CCÉ, Paddy Killoran, Sligo, plays a Jig. 588.12 At the Ed. Reavy Trad Fest 2019 in Cavan, two great exponents of Ed Reavy’s music, Marcas Ó Murchú and Antóin Mac Gabhann play 3 Reels - “Lucky in love”, “The bloom of Youth” and one of Reavy’s many compositions - “The fisherman’s island”. 588.13 From CCÉ, Leeds, England, Owen Spafford plays a Reel - “Young Tom Ennis” - in 15- 18 Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. 588.14 After taking 1st place in 15-18 Banjo competition at Ulster Fleadh 2019 in Castlewellan, Co. Down, Patrick Treacy from Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh, plays a Hornpipe - “The Western”. 588.15 Fiddle Player Ciara Maguire, CCÉ, Newcastle, Co. Down, and Harpist Síofra Hanley, Paddy Killoran CCÉ, Sligo, play a 4-part Jig, a version of “Páidín Ó Rafferty”. Recorded on 18th October 2019 in Brú Ború, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, before their Concert performance with Macalla na hÉireann, the Comhaltas Concert Tour Group of Ireland 2019.
