20.01 Taking 1st place in 15-18 Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth, Caoimhe and Éimhear Ní Fhlannabhra, CCÉ, Teampall an Ghleanntáin, Co. Limerick. They play a Reel - “The Humours of Castlefinn”.

620.02 Former All-Ireland Champion Accordion player Daithí Gormley plays 2 Reels, often called “The Jackson Selection” which ends with “The Dublin Reel”. Accompaniment is by Charles O’ Connor on keyboard. Recorded in October 2021 in their local Paddy Killoran Comhaltas Branch in Ballymote, Co. Sligo.

620.03 In the Senior Céilí Bands Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth, the Strand Céilí Band from Maghery, Dungloe, Co. Donegal, play a selection of Jigs - “Caddy’s fancy” (P. O’ Brien) and “Gillian’s apples”. Band members are: Fiddles - Megan McGinley, Joseph McBride and Geraldine Bonner. Flutes - Karl Doherty and Megan Coyle. Accordion - Catríona Gribben. Concertina - Aileen Burke. Banjo - Cathal Ó Currán. Piano - Eimear Gallagher. Drums - Jamie Glackin.

620.04 On flute and fiddle, sisters Lucia and Aoibhín Morgan play a lovely selection of 3 Reels, recorded in their local Warrenpoint Comhaltas branch, Co. Down, on 20th Nov. 2021. The Reels are “Kiss the maid behind the barrel”, “Sunny Banks” and “Black Pat’s”. Sincere thanks to Kayley Curtis and Jimi Quinn for all their help in organising the recordings, which will continue to feature on upcoming Comhaltas Live programmes.

620.05 From New York, USA, Saoirse Grady plays a Jig - “The Gallowglass” - in 15-18 Fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. Saoirse is a member of CCÉ, Killoran-Clancy-Whelan in New York.

620.06 All-Ireland Senior Trios Champions for 2019, Orlaith McAuliffe, Jack Boyle and Chris Maguire playing a Reel - “Nell Davy’s Reel” - in the competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. They are from CCÉ, West London, London and Southern Region, Britain.

620.07 Louie Bannon from CCÉ, Derrylin, Co. Fermanagh, plays a Reel - “The Spey in Spate” - in 15-18 Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

620.08 3 Fiddle players, Laura Donoghue, Tommy Noonan and Aoife Nally, play a selection of Jigs - “Paddy’s return” and “The cat’s meow” (Joannie Madden) - at a recording in St. Patrick’s College, DCU, Dublin, on 9th November 2021. Laura and Tommy are from Co. Clare and Aoife is from Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

620.09 In the Senior Trios Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019, Brendan Rowan, Lucy Costelloe and Maeve Preston play a Barndance - “Peach Blossoms”. They are members of CCÉ, Cumann na bPíobairI Uileann, Dunboyne/Port Meanóg, Dublin.

620.10 Sligo native Ann Marie McGowan on fiddle and her daughter Christine on flute play 2 Reels - “Monasteraden fancy” and “Jim Pat Frank’s”. Amongst the appreciative listeners at Cultúrlann na hÉireann in Monkstown, Dublin, is Ann Marie’s husband, Joe, who published the wonderful book “Clearing the Hurdles” a few years ago.

620.11 Naomh Colman Céilí Band from CCÉ, Raithean, Co. Offaly, play their selection of Reels in 15-18 Céilí Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

620.12 A concertina solo from Oisín Bradley with 2 Reels, recorded in his local Warrenpoint Comhaltas branch in Rostrevor, Co. Down, on 20th Nov. 2021. The Reels are “The Musical Priest” and “The Duke of Leinster”.

620.13 Cormac Mac Aodhagáin and Emmet Ó Tuathail, CCE, Cr. Bheartla Uí Fhlatharta, Kildare, play a Jig - “Helvic Head” - when taking 3rd place in Senior Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

620.14 Fiona Kelleghan from Mullingar on banjo and Ava Glancy from Sligo on fiddle, play 2 Reels - “Forget me not” and “Lady Ann Montgomery”. Recorded in St. Patrick’s College, DCU, Drumcondra, Dublin on 9th November 2021.

620.15 Cáit and Tomás Ó Gabháin, CCÉ, Fred Finn, Sligo, play a Reel - “Mossy Banks” - in Senior Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth.
