631.01 All-Ireland Champions 2018 the Blackwater Céilí Band from Co. Tyrone with a selection of Reels, joined by local dancers Ciara Horan and Leona Bowe, as part of a wonderful Concert performed by the Band at the Tipperary Co. Fleadh in May 2022 in Brú Ború, Cashel. The Reels are “Farrell O’ Gara’s”, “Maids of Mount Cisco” and “Billy Brocker’s”.

631.02 Appreciated by an enthusiastic audience, Cahir 15-18 Céili Band, Tipperary Champions for 2022, with a selection of Reels - “The Honeymoon” and “Castlekelly”, recorded at a session at their local Comhaltas Branch. They are tutored by well known flute player Michael Harty with mentor Diarmuid Maher.

631.03 A lovely performance of Jigs - “The Rainy Day” and “Three Deers and a Hare” - by fiddle players William and Tom Holmes from Rathcabbin, in Ballycommon Comhaltas Centre near Nenagh, Co. Tipperary on 6th May 2022. Thanks to Ned Kelly and Michael Murphy for all their amazing work for the Branch over the years and for their help with the recording.

631.04 In the Scoil Éigse Tutors’ Concert at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth, Niamh McGloin, Lucia MacPartlin and Elaine Reilly, play a selection of Reels - “Cappataggle shuffle”, “Alice’s Reel” (F. Gavin) and “My love and I in the garden”.

631.05 Dúlra and Síofra Hanley and Tomás Ó Gabháin, CCÉ, Paddy Killoran, Sligo, play a Hornpipe - “The Birds’ hornpipe” - in the Senior Trios Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

631.06 Jason McGuiness, CCÉ, Tireragh, Sligo, plays a Reel when taking 2nd place in the Senior Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann 2018, in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

631.07 A selection of Reels in Brú Ború from the Senior Youth musicians of Cashel Comhaltas Branch at Tipperary County Fleadh in May 2022. The Reels are “The stone of destiny” and “The Killavil”. The Group’s Tutors include Claire Quinn, Gavin Strappe, John Harnett, Susan Strappe and Niamh Fenton.

631.08 Winning the All-Ireland Senior Trios Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018, Deirdre and Eibhlín De Barra and Aileen De Burca, from CCÉ, Gort na mBó, Mayo, play a Reel - “Maeve’s reel” (J. McKillop).

631.09 Kate and Meadhbh Ní Shé and Mary Coffey, CCÉ, Niall Ó Cathasaigh, Ballincollig, Cork, play a Hornpipe - “The Echoing Strings” - in 15-18 Trios at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 in Drogheda, Co. Louth.

631.10 Two Reels - “The Millhouse” and “Sheila Coyle’s” - played by fiddle players William and Tom Holmes from Rathcabbin. Recorded in Ballycommon Comhaltas Centre near Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, on 6th May 2022. See 631.03 for two Jigs played by them.

631.11 “Tom McElvogue’s Jig” played by Catherine Meagher, Megan Davis and Rebecca Ryan at a session in their local Comhaltas Branch in Cahir, Co. Tipperary on 7th May 2022. Thanks to Flute player and Tutor Michael Harty for his help organising the recording.

631.12 Two Reels - “Andy McGann’s” and a version of “The Whistler of Rosslea” (Ed. Reavy), played by All-Ireland U-12 Fiddle champion for 2018 Mairéad O’ Brien from Nenagh Ormond Comhaltas, Co. Tipperary. Recorded at a Branch session in The Half-Door, Nenagh on 19th April 2022. Mairéad’s Tutor in Nenagh is well-known fiddle player Liz Gaughan Quinn.

631.13 Fun is part of our Tradition as you can see in the applause after this selection of Reels - “The Cottage in the Grove” and “The Wedding Reel” - by Leanne Hennessey from Keadue, Co. Roscommon. Recorded in DCU, Dublin on 9th November 2021.

631.14 “Thomond Bridge” hornpipe followed by a reel “Jim Donoghue’s” played by Shauna Cullen, Ballintogher, Sligo, on flute and Emily Cox from Waterford City, on concertina, followed by a nice short account of the special Michael Grinter flute played by Shauna. Recorded in Cultúrlann na hÉireann, Monkstown, Dublin, on 11th February 2019.
