The Melbourne Céilí Band who travelled over 17,000 Km from Australia to participate in the Senior Céilí Bands Competition 2023 in Mullingar, play a selection of Jigs - “Morrisons Jig” (also called “The Stick across the Hob”) and “The Legacy Jig”. Bringing a new element of sound and vision to the Competition they received a rousing and well deserved reception from a delighted audience. Members of the Band are - FIDDLE ; Angus Barbary, Caitlín Brennan and Declan Simpson; FLUTE : Máirtín Staunton; CONCERTINA : Shauna Moore; PIPES : Conor Hoy; BANJO : Anthony McTigue; PIANO : Margaret Carty; DRUMS : Bec Simpson; DIDGERIDOO : Rhys Crimmin.
