At the Fiddlers of Oriel Concert at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018, Jim McKillop plays one of his own Compositions, a Reel “John Cunningham’s farewell”, in honour of John who was Jim’s accompanist for 17 years and who died about 12 years ago. The Concert, presented by Austin Dawe, was held in St. Peter’s Church of Ireland in Drogheda, Co. Louth, and guitar accompaniment was by Pat Conroy.

Recorded at a seasion in The Half-Door, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary in April 2022. Their Tutor is well-known local Fiddle player Liz Gaughan Quinn who, with her husband Brendan and colleagues, does so much to promote the music in the Nenagh area. Laoise recently won the “Up and coming Fiddler of London “ competition 2022.
