From the 2007 Nyah Festival, a set of reels called “Major Moran’s Reels”, played by John McEvoy (fiddle) and John Wynne (flute), both from Co. Roscommon. “Major Moran” was Johnny Moran, a fiddle and flute player from Elphin, Co. Roscommon.
The Nyah 2008 Festival runs throughout the month of March.

From the 2007 Nyah Festival, an unusual and ornate piece of music played by uilleann piper Brian Mc Namara. “The Humours of Glynn” was composed by Pierce Power, who lived near the Waterford/Tipperary border. The tune can be found in O’Neill’s “Music of Ireland” as No. 176, and is No. 54 in “The Dance Music of Willie Clancy” by Pat Mitchell (Mercier).
