We were all deeply shocked to hear of the death of Stephen Madden from Ennis, Co. Clare , early on Saturday morning. Stephen, just 23 years of age was a talented banjo player . He won the All Ireland Banjo under 12 competition three times in a row, the 12/15 title and in 2008 he won the senior All Ireland title. In 2001 Stephen and his brother Paul published a CD of their music titled “The Mason’s Apron”. Stephen was 14 and Paul was 16. Despite their young age they had achieved an exceptionally high level of competency. The funeral arrangements are as follows: Reposing at Daly’s funeral home on Monday April 26th, from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. Removal at 8.00pm to St. Joseph’s Church.
