The 2009 Connacht Provincial Fleadh will be held in Roscommon Town from Monday 29th June to Sunday 5th July. In addition to competitions in traditional music, song and dance to decide the Provincial champions, the event also includes live music and sessions in the pubs over the weekend and open-air street entertainment in the Town.

Monday 29th June Let the Music begin “First House in Connacht” session in Doorlys Corner House Roscommon CD Launch: Roscommon’s own John Wynne, Solo Album
Tuesday 30th June ‘The Bloom of youth’ in Action Connacht Style A Celebration night of the music from the Youth of Connacht, representing Roscommon, Leitrim, Sligo, Galway and Mayo Gleeson’s Townhouse Restaurant, The Square, 8:30pm followed by Trad Disco, 10:30pm
Wednesday 1st July Civic Reception hosted by Roscommon County Council followed by traditional performances Roscommon Family Style 7:00pm Roscommon on Song - ‘The Groves of Kilteevan South Roscommon Singer’s Circle Foxe’s Bar 9pm ‘Connacht Mans Rambles’ Session - Down The Hatch 10:00pm
Thursday 2nd July Roscommon Abbey Music Workships/Master Classes 10am - 1pm and 2-4pm(Abbey National School) followed by:
‘Faces from the Past’ - Audio/Visual presentation of some of the Great Musicians of former years, presented by Paddy Ryan, National Music Officer, CCÉ 4pm (Abbey National School)
Comhaltas Connacht Hall of Fame Award 2009 Tribute Concert to Renowned & Outstanding Roscommon Flute Player Patsy Hanley featuring A host of Artists and friends celebrating this great Roscommon Musician - confirmed list will be announced in advance Abbey Hotel Roscommon 8pm

Afternoon Recital St. Coman’s Church of Ireland, Roscommon ‘The Classical Connection’ - The Baroque music of Continental Europe meets the Traditional Music of Ireland in the form of the famous Turlough O’Carolan of North Roscommon
Official Opening Gala Fleadh Concert 8pm Featuring a host of the very best in Traditonal Irish Music Song and Dance with all the top household names and a very special guest
