Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann has been allocated to Cavan Town for 2010. The decision was made by the Ardchomhairle of Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Éireann meeting on Saturday, 12th September.

- Macalla na hÉireann: 2009 Tour of Ireland

Macalla na hÉireann, the 2009 Comhaltas Concert Tour of Ireland, will visit 14 venues between the 11th and 24th of October. The annual Tour features the best of traditional talent drawn from all four Provinces of Ireland.

This great annual Clare festival is now in its 13th year and takes place in the village of Clarecastle just outside of Ennis. The week-long Festival runs from Sunday, 19th to Sunday, 26th July. One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the concert on Sunday 19th July when Seán Keane, (Caherlistrane singer) and his Band take to the stage in Clarecastle Church at 8.00pm

- Fonntraí - Great Irish Traditional Nights in Dublin

Fonntraí, the longest running stage show of its kind in Dublin (over 30 years), takes place throughout July and August each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night at Cultúrlann na hÉireann in Monkstown. The show plus the traditional session of “ceol agus craic” that follows offers audiences a memorable night of unique Irish entertainment.

It’s that time at last so let the festivities begin!! Yes the Leinster Fleadh has arrived and a great weekend of ceol, rince, amhrain agus craic is just about to begin
The Official Opening of Fleadh Laighean 2008 will be held in Amharclann Naithí - Ballinteer, Dublin at 8.00pm tonight (Friday 11th July). Music will be by Craobh Naithí and Ceoltóirí Óga Laighean.
