An Fleadh Nua Honours Clare Singers

The Fleadh Nua Gradam Ceoil will be awarded posthumously to five of Clare’s finest traditional singers who passed away during the past year. On Friday 28th May set dancer and singer Ollie Conway will be honoured at the Fleadh Nua Singing Session in the Library Bar (opposite Queen’s Hotel ) beginning at 9.30pm.
Cork born singer Denis O’Sullivan , Clonlara and Joe Kierse , Kilnaboy, will be honoured at the Singing Session (Library Bar) on Saturday beginning at 3.30pm.Tribute will be paid to Michael Mahony, Miltown Malbay , at the session in the Old Ground Hotel on Saturday night (9.30pm) and to Peadar Crotty , Moyasta , on Sunday night at 9.30pm. (also in the Old Ground Hotel.) Joe O’Connor , Miltown Malbay , (Reachtaire CCE) will be MC at these sessions The Fleadh Nua Singing Sessions are attended by singers from all over Ireland and abroad.
An Fleadh Nua takes place in Ennis 23rd to 31st. May
