FAQ

Our branches run music sessions around the world. The best way to find one is by finding your local branch using our Locations finder. Some branches list their music sessions right on their webpage — for others you might want to get in touch with your local branch secretary and ask. You’d certainly be welcome!

We’d love to have you! You can join Comhaltas via your local branch.

If you’re looking for a memorable evening of Irish music and dance, we might well be able to find you some extremely high-quality musicians and dancers. Get in touch with your local branch or regional centre, or Regional Centre. Of course, you’re always welcome to contact us in our Dubln headquarters.

We teach Irish music through our network of local branches — we teach more than 1,000 classes every week. You’ll find classes in the most common instruments (fiddle, whistle, bodhrán), but also some of the more unusual (harp, bazouki, uilleann pipes.) It all depends on the local branch and their teaching programme - find your local branch and see what’s going on!

Comhaltas has published a couple of well-received collections of Irish session music. Because we’ve also recorded accompanying CDs, these books have started to come into widespread use in classes and sessions around the world. You can buy Foinn Seisiún 1 and Foinn Seisiún 2 in our online shop.

Tour venues will be posted in the Events area of our site.

You should take a look at the 2008 Fleadh Website. They have details on accommodation, along with (for the first time) an online accommodation listing/booking system.

Comhaltas logos are available on the downloads area of the site. If you need logos in other formats, just contact us at webmaster@comhaltas.ie and we’ll get you sorted.
