As part of creating a holiday to remember, Comhaltas have established Seisiúns around the length and breadth of the country so visitors can enjoy traditional Irish entertainment. Seisiún’s are stage shows consisting of Irish music, song and dance and the evening concludes with an informal traditional session where the visitors are encouraged to participate if they so wish. These shows are about so much more than Irish music, song and dance. They are about experiencing the Irish culture and heritage that has been passed on from generation to generation in a modern and very comfortable setting. Not simply a show for people visiting Ireland, they provide great entertainment for Irish people, whether they are from the local area, or holidaying at home. Many Irish people are realising the benefits of holidaying in Ireland and the Seisiúns are sure to be a focal point in many family holidays this summer. The longest running show of its kind, the Seisiún summer programme has been providing a unique entertainment experience for visitors for over 30 years, evolving and adapting to each year deliver something new and exciting.
