Macalla na hÉireann, the 2009 Comhaltas Concert Tour of Ireland will be in Cootehill, Co. Cavan on Tuesday, 15 October. The annual Tour features the best of traditional talent drawn from all four Provinces of Ireland. Special local interest will be talented harper, Kavan Donohoe, son of Cavan box player Martin. No doubt Kavan will inject lots of NYAH into his playing!
Each year the Tour assembles a fine mix of established artistes together with up-and-coming young stars, blended into a fast-moving and colourful show appealing to both the connoisseurs and peripheral fans of Irish traditional entertainment.
