The Carlow County Fleadh will be held in Leighlinbridge from May 15-17.
Breandán Begley and Friends will play at the Fleadh Concert in the Lord Bagenal Hotel on Friday May 15th at 8:30pm. Support will be by Carlow’s Teenage traditional music allstars - Rí Rá. This concert will include a set dancing Ceili.
There will be an informal music session in the bar at 9:30.
After official competitions on Saturday there will be a session in Meaney’s Bar at 4pm. Later that night there will be sessions in Jimmy Brennan’s (Kelly’s), Brennans bar and the Garrison bar starting at 9:30pm
There will be a session on Sunday 17th at Rainbow’s bar at 5pm
A Session Trail takes place in the village including a youth session and an out-door family session on Sunday morning.
Anyone wishing to enter one of the competitions at a County Fleadh Cheoil must submit their entry form to the Fleadh Secretary not later than 21 days before the Fleadh date. Entry forms can be downloaded from the Comhaltas website.
