Irish Language Weekend for All Ages
Date: Weekend 28th, 29th, 30th June 2013
Come to Clare Island to try out your Irish and have the craic!
A fun, informal weekend of Irish banter, ceol, damhsa, sport agus….. spórt! The emphasis of the weekend is to encourage people to use the cúpla focal they have, whether that be 5, 50 or 500 words – lots of music, dance, gaelic football and an island-wide treasure hunt for the more adventurous.
Deireadh seachtaine spraoi trí Ghaeilge. Beidh ceol, rince, cluichí peile agus tóraíocht taisce ar fud na n-oileáin!
For all ages!
A chance to reconnect with the Irish language through ceol agus craic, caint, spórt agus cluichí! Music Sessions, Céilí dancing, Games and Treasure Hunts, Football for the children, Dráma from Corraun… and maybe a visit from the Strawboys
Friday, June 28th
Ceol agus caint in the centre – music session and chance to try out your Irish phras
Saturday, June 29th
Junior and adult treasure hunts in afternoon, Céilí with Salamanca Céilí Band at 9pm
Sunday, June 30th
Football through Irish for páistí, Drámaíocht with the Corraun Drama Group, visit from the Strawboys, ends with open session.
