The Monaghan Fleadh will be held in Scotstown from the 3rd to the 6th of June, 2010. The Fleadh will open with a bilingual table quiz in St. Mary’s Hall on Thursday 3 June at 8:30pm.
On Friday evening there will be a lecture on local musician Francie McKenna, who died 1975, by Mícheál Ó Ruanaidh. There will also be a workshop & recital based on the musical notation used by Francie McKenna. The venue is St. Mary’s Hall and the lecture and recital starts at 8:30pm.
Fleadh competitions will be held on Saturday 5th June in Urbleshanny N.S. from 10:00am. Group competitions are scheduled to start at 3:00pm. Finally there will be a seisiún and ceilí na nóg to close the Fleadh at 3:00pm on Sunday 6th June in St. Mary’s Hall.
