Wishing a very happy Christmas and New Year to all the wonderful musical colleagues I’ve had the pleasure of meeting up with and really looking forward to experiencing more of our lovely culture in 2024. Willie Fogarty. A group of a dozen musicians with a selection of 4 Reels, including 3 composed by Josie McDermott - “Trip to Birmingham”, “Baltimore Salute” and “Fr O’ Grady’s trip to Bocca” . Recorded in Comhaltas Headquarters in Monkstown, Dublin on 21st October 2023 and led by Martin Mulligan and newly crowned All-Ireland Senior Flute Champion for 2023 Shauna Cullen from Sligo. The musicians include L/R - Emma Woods, Maria Ging, Triona Morrow, Caoilinn Morrow, Tom Morrow, John Devanney, Shauna Cullen, Martin Mulligan, Abigail Ní Bhriain, David Coyne, Seán Murphy and Aaron Moore. Sincere thanks to Bernard O’ Sullivan for all his help in organising the recording.
