501.02 Taking 2nd place in 15-18 Duets at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016, Cormac Mac Aodhagáin and Emmet Ó Tuathail, CCÉ, Cr. Bheartia Uí Fhlatharta, Co. Kildare, play a reel “The trip to Durrow”.
501.03 Catríona, Marieanna and Séamus Ó Thiarnáin from CCÉ, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, play a reel when taking 2nd place in 15-18 Trios at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016.
501.04 Former All-Ireland button accordion champion Darren Breslin from Co. Fermanagh, plays a selection of Jigs commencing with “Dancing eyes” (by Seán Ryan). Darren also uses his ‘dancing feet’ to good effect in this selection ! Guitar accompaniment is by Gerry McMahon. Recorded at the special Nyah Concert in Cavan on 27th August 2016, at which Darren was presented with the annual ‘Jig of Life’ Award. The concert, organised every year by Martin Donohoe, also marked the launch of “The Cavan Bucks” CD (featuring Zoran Donohue, Barry Conaty and Ellen Grant). More from that concert, which was presented by Martin Donohoe and Gary Lynch, in upcoming Programmes.
501.05 Winning the All-Ireland Senior Céilí Band competition for the second year in succession at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Shandrum Céilí Band from CCÉ, Cr. Chronáin, Cork, play a selection of Jigs ”Pet of the pipers” and “Trip to Killarney”. Band members are - Mikie O’ Gorman, Mairéad Fitzgibbon and Eddie Kiely on fiddles; Timmy Collins and Brian O’ Loughlin on flutes; Alan Finn on accordion; Tadgh O’ Sullivan on concertina; Keith O’ Loughlin on banjo; Aileen O’ Callaghan on piano and Ger Naughton on drums.
501.06 The Pearl River Céili Band from CCÉ, Martin Mulvihill, New York, USA, play a hornpipe “The goodnatured man” in the All-Ireland Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Band members are - Rose Flanagan, Dylan Foley and John Reynolds on fiddles; Margie Mulvihill and Eileen Goodman on flutes; Damien Connolly and Patty Furlong on accordions; Bernadette Conneely on banjo; Hughie Boyle on piano and Ronan Mulligan on drums.
501.07 Ciarán Slattery and Cathal Greene, CCÉ, Ballycommon, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, play a reel “The pidgeon on the gate” in 12-15 duets at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016.
501.08 The Beartla Ó Flatharta Céili Band, from Co. Kildare play “Brian O’ Kane’s March” in the Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Members of the Band are - Ruth Boylan, Finola Lawlor, Gary Lynch and Fergal O’ Neill on fiddles; Ferdia Ó Mongáin and Elaine Clarke on flutes; Róisín Ní Fhlatharta on accordion; Gearóid Ó Catháin on concertina; Declan Magee on piano and Úna Ní Fhlatharta on drums.
501.09 From New York, USA, Jimmy Noonan (flute), Erin Loughran and Dylan Foley (fiddles) play a selection of reels at Scoil Éigse Tutors’ Concert at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Piano accompaniment is by Maria Lynn McHugh from Mayo.
501.10 Taking 1st place in senior Button Accordion competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016, Vincent Murphy from CCÉ, Ballyfad, Co. Wexford, plays “The high level” hornpipe.
501.11 Éimear and Cormac Hyland from CCÉ, Newcastle, Co. Down, play a jig when performing in senior Duets competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.
501.12 A group of seven Tutors play a selection of reels - “Martin Wynne’s No.1”, “Martin Wynne’s No. 2” and “Forget me not”, at Scoil Éigse Tutors’ Concert at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. They are L/R Gráinne Hambly, Eimear Arkins, Sorcha Costello, Muireann Hannon, Lucia MacPartlin, Theresa O’ Grady and Daithi Gormley.

501.14 The Luckpenny Céili Band from CCÉ, West London play a selection of jigs - “The rose in the heather” and “The luck penny” in the Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Members of the Band are - Charlotte Lucey and Padraic O’ Reilly on fiddles; Clodagh Holland and Helen McLoone on flutes; Emma O’ Brien on accordion; Caroline Regan and Patrick Durkan on concertinas; Sean Parsons on banjo; Rita Farrell on piano and Ciaran Farrell on drums.
