503.02 In a session at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Boston based fiddle player Seámus Connolly is joined by fellow fiddlers Ewen Rorie from Orkney Islands, Scotland and Cork native John Daly. They play “The Galway hornpipe” followed by a reel and guitar accompaniment is by Owen Tierney, who is Ewen’s grandfather (originally from Co. Cavan).

503.03 From CCÉ, Clogher Valley, Co. Tyrone, the Blackwater Céilí Band play “P J Moloney’s Hornpipe” (Seán Ryan) in Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare. Band members are - Rosie Ferguson, Ursula McAdam, Caoimhe Kearins and Lydia Warnock on fiddles; James McCaffrey and Michael Coney (flutes), Ryan Hackett (piano accordion); Michael Curran (button accordion); Mark McCrystal (piano) and George McAdam on drums.

503.04 In 12-15 Duets at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Liam Ó Múineacháin and Cian Ó Dálaigh from CCÉ, Cr. Chronáin, Cork, play “McGann’s Reel”.

Members of the band are - Irene Guckian, Aishling O’ Reilly and Amanda Sweeney on fiddles; Noel Sweeney and Shane Ryan on flutes; Michael Lennon (accordion); Donna McCann (concertina); Owen Smith (banjo); Liz Ryan (piano) and Hughie Smith on drums.

503.10 Darragh Curtin, CCÉ, Brosna, Co. Kerry, plays a jig when taking 1st place in Senior Fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

503.14 Dylan Carlos from CCÉ, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon, plays “Lord Gordon’s reel” in Senior Fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2016 in Ennis, Co. Clare.

503.15 Recorded in Town Hall, Cavan, on 27th August 2016, The Cavan Bucks - Barry Conaty on flute, Zoran Donohoe on concertina and Ellen Grant on accordion - play a selection of jigs at the launch of their new CD entitled “Cavan Bucks”. Accompaniment is by Fintan McManus. The jigs are “The Clare shout” (B. Gardiner), “Longnancy’s (N. Vallely) and “Charlie” (A. Cutting). The selection is followed by a presentation by the Group to Martin Donohue (Zoran’s dad) in appreciation of his help and encouragement to them and his extraordinary work in promoting traditional music generally.
