648.01 A selection of Reels from ‘Misneach’, a New Irish Traditional Orchestral Suite, Composed, Arranged and Conducted by Multi-instrumental All-Ireland Champion Ciarán Fitzgerald. The Suite celebrates 40 years of Comhaltas in Kildare by CCÉ, Craobh Bheartla Uí Fhlatharta. The Reels in this selection are “The Galway Rambler”, “Lady Ann Montgomery” and “The Duke of Leinster”, and the Dancers are Nuala Keane, Tracey Butler, Pat Murphy and Jim Monaghan.

648.02 Two Jigs composed by Joannie Madden - “The Boat to Boffin” and “The Cat’s Meow” - played by 5 musicians recorded in Wexford in Novenber 2022. The musicians are L/R Barbara Walsh (CLG CCÉ) whistle, Shelly O’ Grady (Bannow CCÉ) harp, Úna Walsh (CLG CCÉ) harp, Cormac O’ Hanlon (Freemount CCÉ) fiddle and Elaine O’ Connor (CLG CCÉ) bodhrán. Recorded in Wexford Town on Saturday 12th November 2022 at a Recording Session for Comhaltas Live organised by Barbara Walsh and her colleagues for County Wexford Comhaltas Branches.

648.03 Three Reels - “Martin Wynne’s No.3”, “The Boy on the Hilltop” and “The Bunch of Green Rushes” - played by Noel Stapleton, who took 3rd place in Senior Button Accordion at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022 in Mullingar. Guitar accompaniment is by Ciarán Campbell. They are both members of CCÉ, Séan Ryan in Laois. Sincere thanks to Aaron Mackessey and Laois CCÉ for organising the Recording in The Heritage House, Abbeyleix on 21st January 2023.

648.04 In 15-18 Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022, Méabh Dunlop, CCÉ, Caisleán a’ Bharraigh, Mayo, plays “The Stage hornpipe”.

648.05 The New York Sarah Lynch 15-18 Céilí Band play 2 Reels - “Martin Wynne’s” and “The Blackthorne Stick” at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022 in Mullingar. The Band are members of CCÉ, Coleman-O’ Grady in New York, US.

648.06 A selection of Reels by 6 Musicians known as “The Newport Connection” at the Special Concert by CCÉ Craobh Pheig Uí Riain in Cappamore Community Centre in Limerick on Sunday afternoon 15th January 2023. The Concert was organised as a Special Tribute to Peig Ryan celebrating her 100th Birthday and marking the Comhaltas Branch’s 50th Anniversary. The musicians are Tracy Ryan, Louise Ryan, Sarah McAuliffe, Eamonn Moloney, Brian McAuliffe and Cillian Roche.

648.07 All-Ireland Senior Céilí Band Champions 2022, Taobh na Mara, with a selection of Reels - “Mick Flanagan’s” and “Anderson’s”, recorded at a Special Celebratory Concert in Lawlor’s Hotel, in their native Dungarvan, Co. Waterford on 10th September 2022.

648.08 Two lovely Jigs - “Fr John’s Jubilee” and “McIntyre’s”, played on Flute by Katie Scully, CCÉ, Camross, Co. Laois, at the Recording in the Heritage House, Abbeyleix on 21st January 2023.

648.09 The Meitheal Cheoil Céilí Band from CCÉ, North London, play Reels - “The Swallow’s Tail’ and “Love at the Endings” (Ed. Reavy) in the Senior Céilí Band Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022 in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

648.10 Taking 2nd place in the Senior Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022, Sinéad McKenna plays a Jig. Sinéad is from CCÉ, Clogher Valley, Tyrone.

648.11 The Seven Septs 15-18 Céilí Band play Reels - “The Green Mountain” and “Vincent Broderick’s” - at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022 in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. The Band are from CCÉ, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

648.12 In the Senior Fiddle Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022 in Mullingar, Joanna Clare from New York, USA, plays a Reel - “The Morning Thrush”. Joanna is a member of CCÉ, Cr. Dugan-O’ Looney in New York.

648.13 Winners of the Full Set Mixed 15-18 Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022, CCÉ, Cill Áirne, Spa, Co. Kerry, with their second selection. The Dancers are - Aoife O’ Donoghue, Cian Lynch, Darragh Brosnan, Diarmuid O’ Donovan, Isabel Waters, Laura Fleming, Pádraic Moynihan and Tegan O’ Sullivan.

648.14 “The Shaskeen Reel” played in the Senior Trios Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022, by Darragh Whelan, Jamie Garrihy and Matthew Ryan from Ennis, Co. Clare.

648.15 The Planxty “Tobar an Cheoil” composed by Michael Rooney, followed by the Jig - “I ne’er shall wean her”, played by Harpists John Devaney from Mayo and Shelly O’ Grady from Wexford. Recorded during an interval in the one-week TTCT Course in Cultúrlann na hÉireann in Monkstown, Co. Dublin on 3rd November 2022. Special thanks to Majella Bartley for all her help in organising the Recordings.
