Comhaltas

Based on an original idea by the late Brian Prior, fiddle player and Comhaltas Projects Officer, the Foinn Seisiún series comprises 4 books and CDs of traditional Irish tunes that are ‘a must’ for musicians who enjoy session-playing and want to build a repertoire of tunes which will be universally known. The books include reels, jigs, hornpipes, polkas, slides, mazurkas and even a couple of barn dances!

As well as providing a wealth of well known tunes, the ‘Foinn Seisiún’ series also features some of the older tunes, ensuring that future generations of musicians will get an opportunity to play the Pipe on the Hob Jig, the Humours of Ballyconnell, Chicago and Copperplate reels etc.
