What do branches provide?
Through its global branch network, Comhaltas offers hundreds of classes each week in a variety of traditional instruments, singing, dance and the Irish language.
For children and young people, these classes are a great introduction to the lifelong pleasure that playing an instrument can bring as they build their confidence playing in a group setting and work on their performance skills. Students also have the opportunity to take part in competition, to play in sessions, and to attend summer schools such as Scoil Éigse at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
For adults, it’s a great opportunity to finally follow a life-long dream to learn the whistle or fiddle, try a few steps of Sean Nós or simply build back your confidence to have a conversation ‘as Gaeilge’.
