Would-be members of Comhaltas may be surprised to discover that all membership is at local branch level. Community is at the heart of Comhaltas, and branches are at the heart of communities. They form the core of Comhaltas, bringing sessions, classes, concerts, céilithe and fleadhanna to their local communities, wherever they may be in the world.

Comhaltas is all about participation. As an Irish and international movement, people of all ages and backgrounds participate in the traditions of Ireland that have been passed down through the generations.

Members:

  • are first to hear about our music sessions
  • get advance notice of upcoming events
  • receive a free copy of Treoir magazine three times a year (adult members only), with news about music, song, dancing and the Irish language, and reports and features on fleadhanna, festivals and events
